EF Academy accepts motivated, curious and eager students from all corners of the world. Our admissions process is personalized, inclusive and holistic. While school grades matter, we also evaluate each student's interests, goals and aspirations and consider how they could make a positive impact on our community.

Our admissions process

The EF Academy admissions process is designed to let us get to know you, your strengths and your motivation for studying at our private boarding and day school.


  • Our Admissions Consultants will invite you to an in-person or online consultation – so you can get to know us and we can get to know you.

  • Documents include:

    • Transcripts or report cards from last two years

    • Scan of your passport

    • Student photo

    • Documentation regarding medical conditions, learning accommodations, and mental health, if applicable

    EF Academy also accepts SSAT scores and the completed Character Skills Snapshot as part of your application, however, it is not mandatory. 

  • Create your student profile, choose the EF Academy campus you are applying to, your academic program, residence preferences (if applicable), and upload the requested admissions documents.

  • This is your chance to tell us about your interests and ambitions, academic commitment and motivation for coming to EF Academy. It is our chance to get to know you "off paper" for the best feel of how you will fit in and stand out as member of our school community.

  • After making a holistic assessment of your application, you will receive our admissions decision. Successful applicants will receive an acceptance pack and our Admissions Consultants will help you finalize any documentation closer to departure. If you are traveling abroad to the UK, we will help obtain your visa.

  • We will keep you informed in the months leading up to the start of school, invite you to welcome sessions, and prepare students and parents with guidance to ensure that everyone is ready for this new adventure. Get ready to be a part of a global community of learners!

Admission prerequisites

We look for open-minded students who are committed to excelling academically, excited to explore their new surroundings and prepared to broaden their horizons. Our application process considers more than just grades and we have some prerequisites to ensure your success at EF Academy.

Visa support

Students from the United States will need to secure a student visa to study abroad in the UK. Our Admissions Consultants maintain strong relationships with visa compliance officers at our school. Together, they support families through the process by explaining the visa procedures, what information they need to submit, guiding them through interview preparation and answering any questions they have along the way.
